I read Sandi's (Chatty Crone) post today and she asked why do some people not have pictures of themselves on their profiles? I didn't have one because I am the one that is usually taking the pictures. I went back into my photo files to see if I could find one and I did. My H and I went to Alaska last year to fish for salmon and halibut. H some how got a hold of the camera and took a picture of me. So Sandi, I have changed my picture. It is of me sitting in a fishing boat waiting for our turn to fish in the honey hole as the guide called it, with no make up or combed hair. It is the natural me. I have accepted me for who I am, flaws and all. I look just like my mother and I think she is gorgeous.

No makeup and no hair combed. Roughing it. |

My mother on the right and my mother-in-law on the left. |
I have no pics of myself because I am the one who takes all the pics...
ReplyDeleteLove these photos!
You look like me, and since I'm gorgeous, I KNOW you are!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't I do that? Post a picture of myself? I always hide behind the mask of Ethel Mertz, from I Love Lucy.
I have a post ready to go, but the one after that, I resolve to post a picture of myself. It may be when I was much younger, but that's half way there, right?
I think it's a great picture! I too don't have any pictures of myself because I am the one to takes all of the pictures. It all started way back when I was a kid too! Not many pictures of me from way back then also! It's rough being the photographer! lol I have taken a few of me myself just to have a picture for my kids! lol
ReplyDeleteI think your picture is great. I like to have a visual of the person who wrote it when I am reading a post. I just changed my picture because the old one was a couple of years old. My new on looks like a mug shot. I'll have to see if I can do better.
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome! Your trip to Alaska is my husband's dream trip. You look like you were having a great time. Blessings, Joanne
ReplyDeleteI think you look like your mom, too. And yes, she's lovely. That hair!!
ReplyDeleteI like having a face with the name, too.
I'm still hiding here ;) That is a great picture (Alaska?! awesome!), and you do look like your lovely mom. Thanks for the inspiration. Maybe I'll just do it. Soon :) -Tammy
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I have a little something for you over at my place. Please come over and collect it when you have a minute!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - I had it written up and deleted it some how. Anyway - I believe (like the others) that you are beautiful and I mean it. So happy looking and a little twickle in the eye. I love it and I am so proud of you. You took a chance and did it today. You are awesome. Now I know who I am talking too. Sandie
