I have this bush in my yard that sparrows love to nest in. They have been there all winter. I haven't pruned it, so there is a lot undergrowth that they can hide in. I stepped out this morning to call the dogs in, and the birds were just a singing, chirping, chattering whatever it is birds do. It sounded like a bunch of first graders trying to get their teachers attention. Some of them were sitting at the top of the bush catching the sun we are having right now. It would be warm if it wasn't for the wind blowing. Right in the middle of the sparrows was a robin, so spring must be just around the corner. Yeah right. We have a prediction for a big snow storm this weekend. The robin I think is a little early. Anyways, hope everyone has a nice and productive weekend. I plan on it.
We are in spring - so it is right around the corner for you. sandie

ReplyDeleteStill waiting for that first robin. I am giving up hope that spring will ever arrive. But be warned,...I really hate summer. Too hot. Too hot. Too hot. (repeat) 'Course too, I may finally be getting old because I have been cold like,..all the time! Doesn't matter how many articles of clothing I have on. Your pictures are great.
ReplyDeletehow cute with the sparrows! our neighbor where we used to live had bird feeders that attracted lots of birds; he had a tree where the sparrows would "roost". It would be so funny to watch when Koda would go out and bark at them and they would all scatter :)
ReplyDeletespring is in the air; hope it "touches" down on you so very soon!
have a great weekend

ReplyDeleteSo many great signs of spring. We have them here, but I think they are just a tease...March is usually our snowiest month.
